To do a movie is not that easy. Besides, good script.. good film casts.. good film director etc. it is still not enough. You will still need 'luck'. It almost same as 'gambling'. You wouldn’t know audience will attracted enough with the best movie poster or your movie trailer which display/played in all cinemas nationwide.
It is unpredictable. Sometimes you were confident enough with the movie that you produced but it was not make it. But sometimes you feel it is the worst movie you ever seen but suddenly booomm with box office collection..! Gossshhh!
Last few days, I was invited to watch ‘Setem’ directed by Kabir Bhatia at GSC, Tropicana City Mall (it is a new shopping mall)… It is a very entertaining movie and could consider it as a movie of the year. (Clap! Clap! Clap..!) The way Kabir blend the story makes you laugh and laugh and laugh. The 110 minutes movie would not bored at all. All of the audience in the hall was none stopped laughing and none of the audience getting out of the hall for a break. Felt likes sitting on sticky chair, you can’t get up.
In this movie all of the character was very good but still Sathia the best of the best! He doesn’t mean to do that but I think Sathia has over shadow other characters. He was really good. For sure he would get more jobs after this. J…!
If previously you had watch ‘Ocean 11’, this movie is about the same. I mean the storyline. For your acknowledgement, this ’Malaysian’ movie has be done by Kabir who is not Malaysian. Kabir also does not speak Malay but he makes it. Good job Kabir! But for sure his wife Mira had do translation for him. J
Actually, I would like to write more on this movie but I have to rush for something else. If you guys have time, please go and watch this movie. I will guarantee you will enjoy it. This movie will be in cinemas on July 30th and you could consider it as ‘Filem mesti tonton’.. Good luck for ‘Setem’!
